This campaign was built from Oregon, taking an insult other programs lob at the team out west and turning it into our rallying cry. You bet we’re ‘different’.

On Oregon’s first day in the conference, we launched the worlds largest rubber ducky in the middle of Big Ten country. The giant inflatable Oregon Duck took the internet by storm turning into a global trend, and even becoming it’s own bobblehead.

A few days later, Head Football Coach, Dan Lanning used his introductory press conference to launch ‘Mighty Different’ into the world. The media ate it up. (New York Times)

Then, days beforre the season opener, we dropped a film series, narrated by Oregon-alum Ty Burrell, that poked fun at any teams that thought Oregon didn’t have the ‘tradition’ to be in the Big Ten. Our message? Fuck your tradition.
